Dependable and trustworthy, Piporé is a reliable yerba that rarely disappoints. Toasted almonds, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, warm caramel, and creamy milk chocolate suffuse your aromatic senses with each whiff.

Somewhat unassuming and muted, this light/medium body mate is quite easy to overlook. Piporé, as tasty as it is, lies outside the arena of popular Argentine brands, such as Rosamonte and Taragüí. And you know what? I like that. Here’s a brand that’s among the craft mate varietals, which get little attention but encompass a wide range of subtle, sweet flavors interspersed with mild grassy tones with just a hint of astringency on the finish.

With solid structure and syrupy consistency, there’s a harmonization of soft creaminess and herbaceous undertones.

Excellent well-rounded yerba for the novice and experienced Matero alike. Similar brands include Unión Suave, Playadito, La Merced Organic, Nobleza Guacha Traditional.
